Mary Bellamy | Composer

Mary Bellamy is a composer exploring the multifaceted relationships between sounds through a highly gestural musical language. Based in the UK her pieces have been commissioned and performed by prominent ensembles including the London Sinfonietta, the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, the Composers Ensemble, the SEM Ensemble, Ensemble Exposé, Ensemble Musikfabrik, ELISION Ensemble and the Bozzini Quartet, and by renowned soloists such as Annssi Karttunen, Richard Craig, Séverine Ballon, Francesco Dillon, Philip Thomas, Ross Karre and Marco Fusi. Specialising in collaborations with contemporary performers, Mary has also created installations with artists from the field of visual arts exhibited in museums and galleries in the UK, Europe and America.
